The Tangle Book
Are you looking for a way to add a little art to your day even though you may only be able to find fifteen minutes here or there? Have we got the perfect class for you! In no time at all we'll show you how to fold the perfect little accordion book, we'll make a clever folded cover for it and we'll introduce you to the wonderful world of tangling. Tangling is a sophisticated doodling system that helps you create gemlike, miniature works of art while reaping the benefits of taking time for a meditative interlude in your day. The creators of this artform call them Zentangles. You will go home with a finished book which contains your first Zentangle and lots of inspiration and suggestions for creating many more.

Prints and Accordions
Have you ever wanted to try printmaking but didn't know where to start? This class will introduce you to the basics: how to create a small, simple plate, how to ink it and how to put it through a press. We'll be showcasing the finished prints in an accordion book so you will also learn some bookbinding basics: how to fold an accordion, how to make a cover and how to tip in artwork. At the end of the day you will have made a simple but elegant book filled with fine art.

Paper Finishes and Folded Books
There are a myriad of ways to decorate paper and in this class we will explore techniques that will allow you to explore at least eight of these techniques. Using a variety of pigments, mediums and tools we will splash, dab and spray our way through the classes and create papers that will have your friends begging you to show them how! Each week you will also learn a folded book form that features decorated papers and you will complete a sample book of decorating techniques complete with instructions for each technique. Please wear clothes that are suitable for artistic play and bring an apron - we’ll provide everything else. This is a great class for novices but even advanced papercrafters will benefit from re-experiencing techniques in a new way and in seeing exciting bookforms that showcase the papers.
